At Hug-eze we are passionate about you wearing your baby as it is highly important to your baby's growth, health and happiness that you hold them close. But cradling them in your arms constantly is not the answer, parents need to get on with everyday tasks. By using a carrier you can cuddle your baby and still "have a life".

Personally as a new-mum, I struggled with having to take care of my baby and still feel like a part of society. By wearing my baby, I travelled light and was able to go out with friends, shop and get work done.

Currently at Hug-eze we have 2 types of baby carriers, The Ergonomic Baby Carrier with hip support for carrying your baby for long periods and the Baby Pouch for snuggling with your baby.

Hug-eze is designed by Lisa Hoy, a mummy driven by the need to comfortably carry precious Lance, travel and shop at the same time. The Ergonomic Baby Carrier was inspired by the traditional chinese Mei Tai and a pair of pre-pregnancy jeans!

The carriers are now created with love by The Vulernable Women's Group in Singapore.

The Hug-eze Ergonomic Baby Carrier

Hug-eze Ergonomic Baby Carrier is the latest innovation in baby wearing, a soft-structured ergonomic baby carrier with hip support, so that the baby's weight is evenly distributed on the wearer.

No more shoulder and back aches!

As the baby is held in a sitting position, the thighs and back are supported, allowing for healthy growth of the hips, pelvis and spine.

Basically the baby sits in the carrier as she would in a sling (sarong) but without the painful red-marks on the thighs due to the fabric cutting into them. With the baby's weight supported on the wearers hip along with the two soft-padded shoulder straps, this carrier is very comfortable for both the wearer and baby. Now you can shop non-stop!

Designed in soft denim with batik lining, this carrier not only feels good it looks great too!!

There is also an add-on pouch, for your little nick-nacks. Why weigh yourself down with another bag?

This carrier is ideal for babies with good head support and can straddle you comfortably, around 4 months and above up till toddler age. Your child will outgrow the desire to be carried before they outgrow this carrier!

For younger babies snuggling them up in a Hug-eze baby pouch is best!

Wear Your Baby!

From the moment your little bundle of joy was born, you instinctively drew her close to you and cradled her in your arms. Mesmerized by her beauty and perfection you watched her drift off into a peaceful slumber. Your baby nestled comfortably in, listened to the familiar drone of your beating heart, smelt your soothing scent and gazed deeply into your eyes. Somehow there was an instant connection and she knew exactly who you were, with overwhelming feelings of happiness and security, she rests.

Babies love to be carried; after all they were curled up safely protected inside of you as you carried them for 9 months. Being with you, carried by you is their only familiarity. In your arms they feel secure and settle easily.

Today with the hustle and bustle of modern lives, we mothers feel the need to squeeze more on our plate then generations before. We rush around trying to get the cleaning, cooking, shopping and socializing into our every day. Carting baby efficiently and effectively around is evermore important today.

Modernization, increasing influences from the media and our love affair with the latest gadgets have led many, including myself, in the pursuit of the most hip versatile and all-wheel drive stroller, which was marketed as an essential item for every mother. But as I soon found out, the “best” all-purpose strollers are not only expensive but they are also bulky and heavy, which is not ideal for zipping around by yourself in Singapore. But of course, being the “I need everything to be prepared mother”, I bought one. The stroller has its merits and is great for walks in the park where there is plenty of space and constantly changing scenery to keep your little one entertained. But try maneuvering it through the mass of people at a sale down orchard road and you’ll know what I mean.

So babies love to be carried and we naturally cradle them in our arms to calm and soothe them. But it is tiring constantly carrying a baby around plus you can’t do anything else with your hands tied up. Using a baby carrier we can free up our hands, reduce some strain, get some work done and alas Baby and Mummy/Daddy are happy and stress-free!
